Psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) is a structured process designed to empower individuals significantly impacted by behavioral/social issues to achieve their highest level of independent functioning
within their community. The goal is to help these individuals develop social skills in order to successfully interact with others. It can be
a lengthy process that requires work in several facets of an individuals life (home, community, sense of purpose, health, etc…) The first step is a set of training provided for service users about skills such as anger
management, conversational skills, asking for help, medication management, listening skills and more. Psychosocial rehabilitation also includes role-playing and group scenarios to help facilitate social skills.
